Visas & Travel

If you are a national citizen of a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia) you do not require a visa to visit the UAE. You will simply need to produce your GCC country passport upon arrival at the point of entry into the UAE. GCC expatriate residents who meet certain conditions may obtain a non-renewable 30-day visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry.

Many citizens of various countries (see below) can gain visas to enter the United Arab Emirates on-arrival. However, it is always advisable to check with the various UAE Embassies and Consulates around the world.

UK (with the right of abode in UK), France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and holders of Hong Kong SAR passports will be granted a free of charge visa for a single visit upon arrival in the UAE.

Passport holders of countries outside this list will require a visa and a sponsor to enter the United Arab Emirates, though please confirm this with the appropriate authorities.

Enquiries regarding the visa requirements of the United Arab Emirates may be directed to the UAE Embassy or Consulate in your area. For a list of Embassies and Consulates UAE Interact website.
